The Zina Garrison Tennis Academy Presents: Eat, Play, Love Charity Weekend

Game, Set, Match! American tennis stars, Zina Garrison and Martina Navratilova announce EAT.PLAY.LOVE, a weekend-long celebration from March 3rd through March 4th, that fuses the world of tennis with fashion,  philanthropy and great food.   The weekend’s events will take place at a variety of Houston’s most spacious and luxurious homes located in the Sherwood Forest, Memorial area. All proceeds benefit programs and services for the Zina Garrison Tennis and Education Academy, a non-profit organization.

EAT.PLAY.LOVE kicks off Saturday, March 3rd with a competitive doubles tournament where two pairs “take it to the net” to see who reigns supreme. VIP tents at all three locations will be helmed by Hell's Kitchen winners and contestants, Chef Michael Gabriel, Chef Rich Mancini and Chef Bev Lazo. Next up, a dinner and auction set at the River Oaks home of Philanthropist, Richard and Marty Finger. Author and Celebrity Chef, Jake Smollett, will oversee this  EPL foodie experience.  Wimbledon champion, Martina Navratilova and Zina Garrison will entertain guest along with the Merlot  Music of Houston Band featuring vocals from Liz Vaughn. And expect fierce auction bidding for a portrait by New Orleans' visual artist, filmmaker and activist,  Brandan "BMike" Odums.  There will also be a dedication of Zina Garrison's memorabilia from her 14-year professional career to the Smithsonian Museum of African American History.

On Sunday, prepare to be served nothing but looks. A celebrity fashion show featuring fashion designers, Chloe Dao, Lucho and Matt Johnson, Marketing Manager of EleVen, Venus Williams’ clothing line “Eleven" will also slay the runway during the fashion show. Looks will be provided by Palais Royal, Lilly Rain, and  St. Bernard will be modeled as well.   And to raise the stakes, three fashion students from the Art Institute of Houston will compete for scholarship prize money.  Celebrity judges include: Designer Chloe Dao, Houston Chronicle Beauty Editor, Joy Sewing,  Fashion Stylist, Todd Ramos, and Houston's  Best Dressed, Phyllis Williams.
